Kan aldrig skada att posta denna nära 5 år gamla föreläsning med Bat Ye'or på Hudson Institute, i samband med att hennes bok Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis släpptes.

Bat Ye'or är pessimistisk (kanske i linje med Bernard Lewis prognos att Europa är islamiskt mot slutet av detta århundrade) men menar även (i klipp 6) att xenofobi inte är någon lösning då den gör att vi inte kan se skillnad på fredliga muslimer och de militanta. (Hon menar där att vi ska ställa våra ledare till svars för vad de orsakat samt kräva en lösning.)

En intervju med Bat Ye'or finns här, där hon nämner hur hon under sin barndom såg islamism ta över i Egypten. Kanske kan det, jämte hennes historiska kunnande, utgöra erfarenhet bakom varningen att civilisationer kan upphöra.

Ms. Ye'or talks about her book Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis, published by Fairleigh Dickinson University Press. She looks at the relationship between European and Arab countries since the mid-20th century and argues that Muslims living in Western Europe have significantly influenced their governments' attitudes toward Israel and other countries in the Middle East. During the talk, she also discusses why Turkey should not be allowed into the European Union and addresses the question of European anti-Semitism. Bat Ye'or answers questions from members of the audience following her remarks.
